UC Irvine scientists launch coronavirus tracking site that compares Orange County to others

A team of UC Irvine scientists on Monday launched a coronavirus tracking website that distills important pandemic metrics and compares Orange County’s case, hospitalization and death averages against other large counties around California.

The team that created the website, called the UC Irvine COVID Awareness Group, is made up of scientists and professors from the university’s Department of Statistics, Program in Public Health, the Center for Virus Research and the Infections Disease Science Initiative.
