My laboratory works on virus-host interactions. Specifically we aim to understand how viruses hijack the host cellular machinery to expression their own genes and how the host cells fight back through innate immunity responses. We focus on gene regulation at the transcription and mRNA processing levels and use herpes simplex virus and other viruses as model systems.
